IELTS tests four key language skills:

You will read three passages and answer a range of questions designed to assess reading comprehension, logical reasoning, and vocabulary. - Writing β 60 minutes
You will complete two tasks:- Task 1: Describe visual information (Academic) or write a letter (General).
- Task 2: Write an essay responding to a point of view or problem.
- Speaking β 11β14 minutes
A face-to-face interview with an examiner to assess your spoken English in a natural conversation.
π― Academic vs. General Training β Which One is Right for You?
- Academic IELTS: For students planning to study at the undergraduate or postgraduate level.
- General Training IELTS: For work experience, training programs, or immigration to countries like Canada, Australia, or the UK.

Each section is scored on a band scale from 1 to 9. Your final overall band score is the average of the four section scores.
- Band 9 = Expert user
- Band 7+ = Very good user (commonly required for universities and skilled migration)
Band 6 = Competent user
